You can now select the number of chords you would like to generate. Default is 16. Up to 80 may be generated.
wow... This is seriously what i need. The only thing that could be added would be to be able to choose what type of chords should be included i.e. major, minor etc.
Great job, keep it up
I would like to do that at some point in the future.
Yeah this is dope. It would be nice if you could enter in a couple chords you're already working with and it bring up a couple more to go along.
i don't know what would be needed to do as far as programming but being able to line the roots w/ 3rds, 5ths, 7th.. etc.... the random chord generator would become the random song creation generator
[...] is where http://www.thestringery.com/featured/random-chords-generator/ comes into [...]
Fantastic tool. Great to practice and test your chord knowledge! It would be fantastic if each chord could be tied to a one bar 'sound sample' of that chord with a play button to create a song loop...awesome to test your improvisational skills...great job
I agree with Gianni! A playback button to hear the chord progressions would be great.
Cool just as is. But instead of the random generator, it could be used to throw out Blues, or Pentatonic chords. Set the default to 32 chords shown.
You got a cool thing going here!
Hey this is pretty cool man! I wonder though, could you make it so it could display chords for Drop D tuning? We Drop D players who also happen to care about chords other than power chords are a rare breed, I know... :p
This would work with an app called Key Chords. Generate the random chords here and line them up there to hear them. They don't have as many chords.
Now if only there were something like this for Bass...
Thank you!
These appear to be random chords with no apparent tonal center. Without a tonal center, you might as well be listening to noise. Why not allow the choosing of a major or minor key and generate diatonic chords according to the key?
This is rather stupid from a jazz musician standpoint... You need a generator that creates chords that actually relate to eachother. This is total chaos.
if you cant transfer these chors to drop d chords... then idk what to tell you
Ok you totally unstereotypically-arrogant-jazz-musicians, the point of this isn't to create a song, this is a RANDOM chord generator. Just for fun. No tonal center needed
Wow! We were able to transmute the unknown quotent via known chords and generate several viable combinations. We have found the lost chord. The portal has opened. We may return home.
